First module of the EMBA Zagreb 9th Generation

The first module of the EMBA Zagreb 9th Generation, Managerial Economics and Quantitative Methods, was delivered to managers from Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by A.J.Evans on January 27th - 29th 2012.

The first module of COTRUGLI’s Executive MBA Generation in Zagreb was delivered on January 27th - 29th 2012 in Zagreb's campus. Managers from Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina had a chance to learn Managerial Economics and Quantitative Methods from a top lecturer A.J.Evans.

According the students statements they found this module very interesting and practical with lots of excellent examples. We decided to treat our new students with a welcome drink in a caffe bar near the school and therefore gave them a chance to know each other better. Anthony J. Evans is an Assistant Professor of Economics at ESCP Europe Business School and Assistant Director of Studies at ESCP Europe Business School, London. He received his MA and Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University, USA, and a BA (Hons) from the University of Liverpool, UK.
Most of his applied research focuses on the intersection between institutions, constitutions and organizations; including “Cultural Theory”, Market-Based Management(R), and the epistemic and cultural foundations of social transitions.


The aim of the first half of the Managerial Economics and Quantitative Methods module is to equip students with knowledge of fundamental principles of micro and macroeconomics and their relevance to management decision-making. The course covers many theories and approaches to enable students to appreciate the impact of economic forces on functional and strategic managerial decisions in contemporary organization situations.


Second half of the module aims to equip students with a basic understanding of fundamental techniques in quantitative and statistical analysis and their application to practical business situations.
