MBA Learning Process

INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

The individual project is an important learning vehicle in COTRUGLI MBA programs and represents a significant and genuine 'return on investment' to the participant’s organization.

Since the educational methodology is experiential and contributory in nature, the learning process is participant-centered. This approach implies respect for competence, intelligence and autonomy of the program participants.

Attendance

To receive the COTRUGLI MBA degree, students must meet the following requirements:

• Attend courses
• Pass all individual exams and assignments
• Complete all course exercises
• Successfully complete the MBA Project

FINAL PRESENTATION

It can be challenging to work in multicultural teams, but it is one of essential management skills. Participants are assigned to a group of five/six people at the beginning of the program, and they work with them throughout the program.

Ensuring that what is gained in the classroom is not lost in practice is central to value creation for participant’s organization. Our project-based approach carefully balances reflection with action, focused brainstorming with efficient decision making, and idea sharing with collective on-the-job implementation.

We equip participants with the tools to evaluate and implement the solutions they have elaborated to meet organizational priorities. This provides the real impact for participant’s organization - one reaching well beyond the learning in the program.

In the end of the MBA program participants presents in the team a Business Plan which they develop during the program.

COTRUGLI Business School creates lifetime learners, and this can only be accomplished by treating program participants with responsibility for their learning, in other words teaching them how to learn by themselves.

As a part of their individual learning program participants determine the nature of their individual project, and articulate their personal developmental goals.

This gives them the opportunity to work individually on a project, analyze and resolve complex business issues using business skills, frameworks, and tools acquired in the program.

Projects are generally comprised of, but are not limited to:

Consulting work:

focused quantitative and qualitative analysis of a business issue, often for the participant's actual company, and with emphasis on applicable, measurable results

Business planning:

either completing sections or an overview of a completed business plan suitable for investors (with full market analysis, product definitions, developed marketing plan, operations design, and pro forma financials and projections)

Research (suitable for publication):

focused, professional-quality research of an industry trend, business strategy, revenue/trading strategy, or a product's market that is suitable as a case study eather for a graduate module or publication
